This year we put a mixed ability team into winter tournament week. Day one saw us win two games convincingly. The first game was against Dunstan with a solid win 7 – 3. Later that day we played a team from Burnside where we won 7 – 1.
Day two, we played Mackenzie College, where we were the only team to score on them during pool play but went down to them 1 – 3. The following game was against Wakatipu where we lost 2 – 3. The last day of the tournament saw us lose 2 – 5 to St Andrew’s College in the morning which meant we would play them again for 3rd / 4th. After the three previous hard games we did not have the legs to compete with Christchurch Boys’ so went down 1 – 5 which put us into third position. |
