1974

The First Eleven completed a successful season by winning the Fletcher Cup on goal average over Grants Braes. The team deserved to win this cup, which had eluded them in the 1973 season when they were runners-up to Grants Braes. John Peacock proved to be a very capable captain on and off the field. Our thanks go to Graeme Pennell, who left school early in the season but still continued to play for the team.

Peacock and I. Rutherford had their names put forward for the New Zealand Under 19 team to visit Tahiti.
