BALLANTYNE Joy

1989 – 1992

Joy Ballantyne, that very charming canteen lady, retired on 7 May after three years service. A number of her sons attended King’s: Bruce (1969-73), Jim (1971-75); Tony (1985-89), Russell (1974-78) and Ron who was dux of the school in 1968. Joy also has three grandchildren at the school at the moment in James Bell (son of staff member David Bell), Jason Riley and Symon Riley ensuring her continued active interest in the school. The PTSA held an afternoon tea for Joy in the library to mark her wonderful contribution to the school over almost 30 years.
