Margaret worked for 13 years as a teachers’ aide at King’s High School, where she issued, repaired, and managed textbooks and photocopied for staff.  She recorded the daily absences on the computer—a first for the school. The check of absences involved ringing up parents to check on absent pupils. She rang one home, and a boy answered. “Who am I speaking to?” Margaret asked. “My Mother replied the boy.”   She took care of the Ministry of Education’s annual roll March returns.
